Medical Intervention – Cataract Surgery

In furtherance of our humanitarian mission, NEF successfully facilitated and sponsored a life-changing cataract surgery for Miss Okpalaeke Cynthia, an orphan from Umueziyi Village, Achina, Aguata LGA, who had lost vision in her left eye.

Her condition was first identified by our medical team in May 2024 during the two-day free medical outreach in Achina. Following proper assessment and in consideration of her academic schedule, we ensured she completed her examinations before proceeding with the surgery.

The procedure was carried out on July 24, 2024 at Prime Specialist Hospital, Igboukwu, and was successful. She is currently in stable condition and recovering well.
